Duval Courthouse and clerk’s office closed through Thursday

Date extended to Sept. 16 for fines due through Friday.

Fourth Judicial Circuit Chief Judge Mark Mahon ordered that the Duval County Courthouse at 501 W. Adams St. will remain closed through Thursday.

The Duval County Clerk of Courts announced Wednesday that its offices will be closed Thursday as well, including at the Duval County Courthouse and the Beaches branch at 1543 Atlantic Blvd. in Neptune Beach.

People who had fines due Sept. 3 through Sept. 6 had their payment date extended until Sept. 16.

Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry said Wednesday the city has not yet decided whether to keep city offices closed through Thursday.
