The Edwards and Ragatz law firm has purchased a building in Southpoint and is renovating a portion of it for the firm’s new offices.

In September, E&R Salisbury Properties LLC partners Thomas Edwards Jr. and Eric Ragatz purchased the  43,000-square-foot office building at 4401 Salisbury Road from Lavaya Genesis LLC in Miami for $2.3 million with a $2.61 million mortgage from Ameris Bank, according to documents filed with the Duval County Clerk of Courts.

Constructed in 1983, the three-story building was assessed for tax purposes in 2017 for $2.5 million.

The owner has applied for building permit to renovate the second floor at a cost of $480,500 with Crabtree Construction Co. listed a contractor for the work.

The firm will move from its current location on Beachway Road in St. Nicholas this summer.
