The Family Law Advisory Group of the 4th Judicial Circuit is seeking input to improve the operation and procedures of the court’s Family Law Division. Criticisms, concerns or recommendations regarding family court policies or procedures currently in place may be submitted in writing to any advisory group member.

A series of forums will be scheduled to facilitate discussions between judges and practitioners for a better understanding of existing procedures, available resources and significant changes in the law.

It is the advisory group’s intention to respond to all submissions which have broad application to the fair administration of justice, said Circuit Judge Hugh Carithers, Family Law Division administrative judge.

The next forum will begin at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 24 in the chief judge’s conference room at the Duval County Courthouse. All attorneys are invited to participate.
