FedEx Ground to open distribution center at Stag Westlake

Emerald C’s Development Inc. will build-out the facility at $1 million.

The city issued a construction permit Dec. 14 for FedEx Ground at the Stag Westlake building in Westlake Industrial Park.

Emerald C’s Development Inc. will build-out the  231,030-square-foot distribution center at 9779 Pritchard Road in West Jacksonville at a cost of more than $1 million.

Plans show FedEx will lease the warehouse. They show a van and car loading operation, including a package conveyor area. The building has 43 truck doors and two drive-in doors.

The city issued a permit for build-out at Stag Westlake for FedEx Ground.

A site brochure said it has 159 auto parking spots with the ability to increase that number.

STAG Industrial Holdings LLC of Boston owns the property. Studio9 Architecture of Jacksonville is the architect. Codes-ABC Inc. handled code compliance.

Cushman & Wakefield of Florida LLC Senior Directors Tyler Newman and Jacob Horsley are representing the property, which was developed in 2019 on 18 acres. It is west of Interstate 295.

In October, STAG Industrial Inc., a real estate investment trust, bought the warehouse for $14.8 million from Johnson Development Associates Inc. of Spartanburg, South Carolina.

FedEx Ground says it provides daily residential delivery of packages up to 150 pounds.
