Food notes: First Watch to Baymeadows Park; Chick-fil-A, Pepe’s Hacienda to Lakewood

Construction permit issued for Taco Bell in Mandarin.

The city is reviewing a permit application for construction of a 3,600-square-foot shell building for First Watch, The Daytime Cafe, at a cost of $644,955.

A separate permit will be filed for build-out.

The First Watch building at 9271 Baymeadows Road is within the Baymeadows Park development at the former Baymeadows Golf Club.

Chick-fil-A to Lakewood

The city is reviewing plans for demolition of the closed 2,700-square-foot Krispy Kreme at 3814 University Blvd. W. in preparation to build a Chick-fil-A restaurant.

CCR Architecture of Birmingham, Alabama, is the architect for the 4,992-square-foot project on 1.28 acres at a cost of $850,000.

Krispy Kreme closed in spring 2016.

Taco Bell in Mandarin

The city issued a permit April 13 for C.W. Hayes Construction Co. of Oviedo to remodel and update the décor of the Taco Bell  at 11270 Old St. Augustine Road in Mandarin at a cost of  $350,000.

Pepe’s Hacienda in Lakewood

The city is reviewing a permit application for construction and build-out for Pepe’s Hacienda at 3615 Dupont Ave. in the Lakewood area of Southside.

Webb Properties & Improvements Inc. is the contractor for the $450,000 project of 12,235 square feet.

Plans show restaurant seating and a bar on one side and a grocery on the other. Plans show construction of a metal building to connect two existing buildings and tenant build-out.
