With more than 20 hospitals, plus primary care centers, free-standing emergency rooms and rehabilitation facilities, health care is big business in Jacksonville.

According to careiq.com, total revenue at the facilities is more than $5 billion annually.

Access to quality health care is a growth driver. It is an important factor when companies are looking to expand into new territory and when people are seeking to relocate.

Nearly 48,000 people in the Jacksonville metro area work in the health care field.
