Thousands braved the rain Thursday evening, hoping to catch a glimpse of recording artist/reality television star Jessica Simpson. Performing four songs as part of a nationally televised NFL Kickoff celebration, Simpson took the Metropolitan Park stage shortly before 7:30 p.m. Her set was recorded and aired nationally later in evening.
