Pets: Rescue dogs, Gonzo (German shepherd) and Rapunzel (rat terrier/chihuahua), and two rescue cats, Mister and GiGi, both picked right off the mean streets of Orlando.

Education: Flagler College, B.A. in English literature, and J.D., Florida A&M University

Admitted to the Bar: April 2006

Employed by: Office of the Public Defender

Field of practice: Criminal defense

Professional organizations: The Florida Bar and The Jacksonville Bar Association

Community involvement: Sulzbacher Center and Project Homeless Connect in Orange County.

How did you get involved? Through the office.

What have you learned/achieved through the experience? There but for the grace of God go I. And I’m just happy to be here.

What was the last book you read or are reading? Last book read: “The Book of Laughter and Forgetting” by Milan Kundera. Currently reading “Mayflower: A Story of Courage” by Nathaniel Philbrick.
