A lively event

Downtown Live revelers sign up at the FM 96.1 booth for free club seats to the Jacksonville Jaguars Monday night game Dec. 3 against the Green Bay Packers. The radio station was also selling patriotic buttons, the proceeds of which go toward helping the nation’s terrorism victims.

The fourth Thursday night downtown event, featuring the soothing sounds of Pili Pili, made somewhat of a resurgence last week, following three weeks of bad weather, bad timing and just plain bad luck. Without the distraction of a Jaguars game and somewhat recovered from national disaster, about 200 people gathered amidst Hemming Plaza’s cool fountains and shade trees in search of some relief and maybe even a few laughs with friends.
