Michael Maher, founding director of the Charleston Civic Design Center, has withdrawn from consideration for CEO of the City's Downtown Investment Authority.

Bonnie Garraway, spokeswoman for Jorgenson Consulting, the firm contracted for the CEO search, confirmed Monday afternoon Maher's withdrawal. She said Maher had been offered an "expanded position" with the design center, but had no further information.

Aundra Wallace, Executive Director for the Detroit Land Bank and Kevin Hanna, Director of Real Estate for the New Orleans Redevelopment Authority, remain in consideration for the post.

Final interviews are scheduled at 9 a.m. Thursday in the 1st Floor Training Room at 214 N. Hogan St.
