Crews from Burkhalter Wrecking were busy over the weekend, demolishing the old French Quarter Bar building at the corner of Ashley and Main streets. The City condemned the building and plans to use the site as a parking lot. Both the JEA and Salvation Army are interested in the property. It should take about two or three weeks to remove the debris.
