Marscheck to head Downtown Council

Public relations consultant Larry Marscheck will be the 2002 president of the Chamber’s Downtown Council.

Marscheck and the other incoming officers and board were elected Friday at the Council’s meeting at the River City Brewing Company.

Travis Rigdon of Hardage-Giddens Funeral Homes will be the vice president, Anne Shea of the convention bureau will be the secretary and CPA Jerry Jeakle will be the treasurer.

Business consultant Doug Wilder will head the Downtown Enhancement Committee.

In addition to the officers, the 2002 board will include Gillian Baker, Bonnie Barnes, Bill Beitz, Cathy Cobb, Bonnie Knight, Linda Lanier, Gary Looney, Jim Love, Bobi McGinnis, Deborah Metzig, Jennifer Price, Tricia Pulsifer, Terri Rainey, Joe Snowberger, Johnnie Smith and Melanie White.
