Beacon Lake in northern St. Johns County hosted hundreds of visitors at its grand-opening event.
The master-planned community, on the south side of County Road 210 between Philips Highway and Interstate 95, showcased five decorated model homes by Dream Finders Homes and Mattamy Homes.
Guests also previewed Beacon Lake’s amenities, including its nautically themed Lake House, fitness center, pocket parks and more.
Anchored by a 43-acre, paddle-friendly lake and 358 acres of nature preserve, Beacon Lake’s amenities include an 8,200-square-foot Lake House and fitness center, scheduled to open in early 2019.
The Lake House includes a demonstration kitchen, entertainment and dining areas, covered porches and a fire pit.
Outdoor amenities include a splash park, Junior Olympic lap pool, a dog park, sand beach, playing fields and tennis courts.
The dockside Crew House will provide kayak, canoe and paddleboard storage as well as a launch area for the man-made Beacon Lake.
In phase one, Dream Finders Homes and Mattamy Homes are offering home designs from 1,600 square feet to more than 3,500 square feet priced from the mid-$200,000s to $500,000s. Dream Finders is building on 43- and 63-foot-wide homesites and Mattamy Homes is building on 53- and 73-foot-wide homesites.
