Nine recommended for two 1st District Court of Appeal openings

Judicial Nominating Commission sends names to Gov. Ron DeSantis.

The 1st District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission recommended applicants to Gov. Ron DeSantis for consideration to fill vacancies on the 1st District Court of Appeal created by the resignations of Judges Allen C. Winsor and T. Kent Wetherell II. 

They are:

  • James “Scott” Duncan
  • Gilbert Feltel Jr.
  • George Levesque
  • Robert Long Jr.
  • Rachel Nordby
  • Gary Perko
  • Eric Roberson
  • Cristine Russell
  • Adam Tanenbaum

There were 26 applicants for the vacancies. The commission conducted public interviews Aug. 29 and 30.
