The Artist Series seeks to educate, enlighten and entertain the First Coast community and the surrounding area with diverse and innovative programs that reflect the traditional and evolving culture of the United States and the world.

I developed an appreciation and the importance of community service during my high school and college years

Your job before The Artist Series
I was a graduate student at the University of Florida. I also grew up being involved in family businesses in South Florida.

Upcoming events
Broadway in Jacksonville season:

Oct. 11-16: “South Pacific,” based on the 2008 Tony Award winner for “Best Musical Revival” and the acclaimed Lincoln Center Theatre production.

Nov. 8-13: Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast.” This classic musical love story is filled with unforgettable characters, lavish sets and costumes, and dazzling production numbers.

Jan. 4-22: “Wicked.” Back by popular demand, “Entertainment Weekly” calls “Wicked” the best musical of the decade. Winner of 35 major awards, “Wicked” is Broadway’s biggest blockbuster and on the show’s first visit to Jacksonville in 2009 broke numerous box office records.

March 13-April 1: “Jersey Boys.” The story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons was the winner of the 2006 Tony Award for “Best Musical,” the 2006 Grammy Award for “Best Musical Show Album” and the 2009 Olivier Award for “Best Musical” on London’s West End.

May 1-6: “Les Miserables.” The new 25th Anniversary Production. “The London Times” hails the new show “a five-star hit, astonishingly powerful.”

Additional shows will be announced soon and will include international dance and opera, off-Broadway, concerts and variety attractions.
