One Call on Monday named former Centene Corp. executive Rone Baldwin as president and CEO.

Baldwin succeeds the retiring Dale Wolf at the Jacksonville-based company that provides workers’ compensation care management services.

“I look forward to working alongside the management team to support One Call’s customers’ needs and accelerating the growth of the business in the years to come,” Baldwin said in a news release.

Baldwin was executive vice president of markets and insurance at Centene Corp., a health care management company. He left Centene in 2016 to pursue other interests, according to news reports.

One Call said Centene tripled its annual health plan revenue to more than $35 billion during Baldwin’s tenure.

“We are very pleased to welcome Rone Baldwin to the leadership team,” said Andrew Cavanna, a member of the One Call board of directors. In the release. “We look forward to benefiting from his strategic insights and considerable experience.”

Before joining Centene, Baldwin was chief operating officer at Guardian Life Insurance Co. and president and CEO of employee benefits at Genworth Financial.

He also held leadership positions at Mutual Life Insurance Co. of New York. He began his career at Goldman Sachs and Booz Allen Hamilton.

Baldwin has a bachelor’s degree from Amherst College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Wolf joined One Call in 2014 as a member of the board of directors. In 2015, he began to lead the management team after the departure of Joe Delaney. In 2016, Wolf was named president and CEO.

“I am very proud of the entire team at One Call and would like to thank everyone for their efforts, support, and partnership,” Wolf said. “I know Rone and the team will continue One Call’s commitment to its customers, whom I would also like to thank for their ongoing trust.”

One Call’s headquarters is in the Eight Forty One building at 841 Prudential Drive on the Downtown Southbank. The company also has employees across the U.S.
