• The Chamber’s West Council is raising money for the Scholarship Fund in conjunction with the annual Captain’s Choice Golf Tournament May 3 at the Golf Club of Jacksonville. “A” students at every high school on the Westside qualify to compete for $500 scholarships to help mitigate against the rising cost of college. Students can continue to qualify each year for four years.
• Rose Zurawski has been named director of operations at PappasJSA. Zurawski will direct client relations and business development, which includes overseeing project management and ensuring that schedules and budgets are met. Before joining PappasJSA, she was the senior design manager for Marriott International.
• City Council president Matt Carlucci is the scheduled speaker at Monday’s Meninak Club meeting.
• Body & Soul: The Art of Healing presents “Mann to Man”, featuring international jazz musicians Herbie Mann and Sona Terra in conjunction with the Baptist Cancer Institute at Baptist Medical Center. The event is Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. at The Ritz Theatre & LaVilla Museum.
