• The Ronald McDonald House has installed its officers for 2002. They are Kevin Gallagher, president; Kristin McLauchan, vice president; Craig Walker, treasurer, and Joe Thompson, secretary. Also joining the board are Tom Beames Jr., Sherry Burns, Charles Schauer and Jay Demetree.

• The Florida Council of Catholic Women is holding its Florida State Conference Oct. 26-29 and is requesting donations of promotional items such as key chains and ink pens. If you have items to donate, call Janie Southerland at 398-3600.

• Members of the Rink Reynolds Diamond Fisher Wilson interior design team are traveling to Beverly Hills, Calif. for the National DuPont Antron Design awards. The team is being honored for its work on Restaurant Medure in Ponte Vedra Beach. Team members are Larry Wilson, Rebecca Howes and Mike Koppenhafer.

• Larry Wilson Design Associates has received the Solutia DOC Award of Excellence for its work at Gallery Eclectic Bistro.

• Ennis, Pellum & Griggs, CPAs, has joined the BDO Seidman Alliance. The BDO Seidman Alliance is a nationwide association of independently owned accounting and consulting firms sharing resources, services and technical expertise, while maintaining their independent local ownership and personalized service. Also, the accounting firm has named Deidre Lynch, CPA, as a tax senior and Vicki Rainer, CPA, to the tax staff. Lynch earned her bachelor’s degree at Seton Hall University. Rainer was employed as a corporate taxation analyst before joining the firm.

• Because of the success of the first “Pink Slip” parties, co-sponsors Seven Bridges Grille & Brewery and PMI Northeast Florida Chapter are hosting another party Feb. 11 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Seven Bridges Grill & Brewery. Those expected to participate include job recruiters from local companies and consulting firms, members of the IS/IT, financial, construction, and transportation industries. Job seekers are encouraged to bring resumes and business cards.

• First Baptist Church is hosting the annual Pastors’ Conference through Tuesday. Forty states and three countries are sending representatives to the conference, which also includes a Preaching Conference and a Women’s Conference.

• The Landing is hosting the Healthy 2002 community health fair Feb. 12 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The fair includes free vision and glaucoma screenings, fitness and weight information and information about a variety of products and services.
