• Availity, L.L.C., a joint venture between Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida and Humana, Inc., has named Julie Klapstein, chief executive officer, Dan Chavez, vice president of business development, Walt Culbertson, chief technology officer, and Margaret Gomez, director of finance.

• Riverside Avondale Preservation, Inc. is offering a one hour tour of the Historic St. Johns Quarter section of the Riverside Avondale Historic District Saturday mornings at 10 a.m. Cost is $5 and includes tea. The tour begins at Memorial Park. For information, call 384-2767.

• Teresa Eichner has been named senior vice president at The McCormick Agency. She will oversee all the accounts and the account executives. Eichner has been at the agency since 1997.

• Dr. Todd Sack, president of the Duval County Medical Society, is the speaker at the Nov. 26 Meninak Club meeting. The president’s reception is scheduled for Dec. 1 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Cummer Museum of Arts & Gardens. The Meninak orientation/recruitment fellowship is scheduled for Dec. 6 at 5:30 p.m. at Southend Brewery at the Landing.

• The Clara White Mission is hosting its Feed the City Thanksgiving Dinner for the homeless and disadvantaged families Nov. 17 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. For information, call 354-4162.

• Dr. Robert J. Forster has been named chief medical officer at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida. Dr. Forster will lead a health care services team focused on medical care, provider networks and contract operations.
