A plaque was unveiled Wednesday at the Duval County Courthouse that recognizes the small businesses and minority-owned businesses that helped construct the building.

“This is one of the busiest and most-used buildings in Jacksonville. It’s an amazing place to work,” said Chief Judge Mark Mahon.

The bronze plaque is a replica of the City Council resolution introduced by former Council member Bill Gulliford and signed by former Council President Clay Yarborough that recognized the work performed by the minority contractors and small businesses that built the $350 million project.

The plaque is displayed in the atrium on the first floor, near the elevators.
