The English-inspired Posting House pub announced Thursday it has opened in San Marco Square.

It serves craft brews, wines and small bites. A grand opening is scheduled June 15.

It describes itself as “a modern take on the traditional English posting houses that gave travelers a rest along their journey.

Posting House, at 2018 Hendricks Ave., is owned by Stu and Jude Green, San Marco residents who moved to Jacksonville in 2015 from England. Stu Green is a tech entrepreneur and Jude Green is an interior designer.

Riley Leuthold is general manager. The location is 1,600 square feet.

“We want Posting House to be a space where people immediately feel comfortable to be themselves,” Jude Green said in a news release.

Hours are 2-10 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday and Sunday, and 2 p.m.-midnight Friday-Saturday. The website is posting.house.
