JEA received a service availability request for a 64-seat Huey Magoo's Chicken Tenders restaurant with a drive-thru in Beachwalk in St. Johns County.

EnVision Design + Engineering LLC is the civil engineer.

Huey Magoo’s announced in January 2021 that it will open three restaurants in St. Johns County.

The company said the franchises will be owned by Josh and Sarah Miller.

Huey Magoo’s features grilled, hand-breaded or “sauced” chicken tenders, salads, sandwiches and wraps.

Its restaurants average 1,900 to 2,200 square feet. 

KFC coming to Oakleaf Corner

The city is reviewing a permit application for construction of KFC on 1.22 acres at 8251 Old Middleburg Road St. in Oakleaf Corner.

The permit shows a construction cost of $425,000 for the 2,200-square-foot restaurant.

Chick-fil-A changes at Pablo Creek

Chick-fil-A Inc. intends to modify its drive-thru, reconfigure its parking lot and make other changes at 13672 Beach Blvd. in Pablo Creek Plaza East.

The city is reviewing a building-permit application for the estimated $375,000 project.
