Rush hour headache

A two–car accident backed up early morning commuters Tuesday at the intersection of East Adams and North Newnan streets. Police said the Honda Accord ran a red light at about 7:45 a.m., plowing into the Isuzu Trooper’s right rear end, spinning the truck around and depositing it on its side. Roger Varnadoe witnessed the accident just seconds after being dropped off by the Isuzu, which was driven by his wife. Varnadoe said his wife wasn’t injured. Police said the Honda’s driver wasn’t injured. The accident stalled traffic exiting the Hart Bridge.
