To welcome Shahid Khan to Jacksonville, the Downtown Council of the JAX Chamber sent what it calls a “bristling bouquet” of flowers in a mustached vase to Khan as he and Wayne Weaver were heading into the National Football League owners meeting Wednesday in Texas. The owners voted unanimously for Khan to buy the Jacksonville Jaguars from Weaver. The flowers were accompanied by a letter from the Downtown Council in support of Khan and the team and asking him to speak to the council soon.
