Mission
The mission of Jewish Family & Community Services is to strengthen the entire community by providing family and individual social services in the Jewish tradition of helping people help themselves.

Serving Jacksonville
Since 1917, based in Jacksonville.

Those served
JFCS is a 501(c)3 charitable organization serving the five-county area. Our programs and services include adoption, children’s programs, counseling, a child safety program for abused and neglected children, prevention programs for at-risk families, emergency financial assistance, Feed A Needy Neighbor (FANN), the Winn-Dixie Emergency Food Pantry and Jewish Services. We serve people from all backgrounds.

Biggest challenge
Navigating through the hard times with increasing demands and fewer resources.

Biggest satisfaction
The faces of the people we help, knowing that it has an impact on their quality of life from their basic individual needs to emotional functioning to strengthening the entire family.

First experience with community service
In 1976, representing JFCS to the community at large.

Conducting programming for the Jacksonville Jewish Federation.
