Jacksonville Beach will soon have a new vision on the horizon to visitors arriving along Beach Boulevard: one of Jacksonville Beach’s last large parcels of real estate will feature Jardin DeMer, a new, two-story condominium complex.
At the corner of Beach Blvd. and 15th Ave. South, residents and visitors alike will appreciate the upgraded improvements on the nine-acre site which once held a hodge-podge of trailers suffering from age and disrepair and a site that struggled for a viable development that would support the beaches community feel. At one time, a Home Depot was attempting development on the site, but required concurrency and zoning issues could not be overcome.
The developer is John Sisk of American Shelter. The project name is French for “Garden by the Sea” and will consist of 14 buildings totaling 104 two- and three-bedroom apartment homes starting at $150,000.
“The location is ideal. It has ready access to Beach Boulevard, the beaches, shopping, parks, Jacksonville Beach Golf Course and owners will be town-bound in minutes,” said Sisk.
