The Northeast Florida Association of REALTORS® has its new officers. And, it has plenty of information on the 2005 Super Bowl.

Over 150 attended the meeting last month at Marriott at Southpoint to vote on the new slate of officers and hear the speaker for the event, Patrick Duncan, director of lodging and accomodations for the Super Bowl Host Committee. He’s hoping to put together a group of REALTORS® to help out with the game.

Duncan said that he has never met a shy REALTOR® and who better to be a part of the volunteers who will meet and greet the visitors to the city.

“We need people who know the community, entertainment venues and that can give good directions,” said Duncan.

He remarked how the REALTORS® can be there to receive the longterm benefits of Jacksonville hosting a Super Bowl.

After the Super Bowl, companies will relocate here and there will be more meetings and conventions held in the city than ever before, he said.

“You will see just what a Super Bowl does for a community,” said Duncan.

During the meeting the new officers of NEFAR and Multiple Listing Services were voted on.

Selby Kaiser of Prudential Network Realty was voted in as president.

The remaining board members will be Andre’ Boutte of Watson Realty as president-elect, Sam Folds of Sam Folds Realty as treasurer and Linda Sherrer of Prudential Network Realty as secretary.

Directors (three year term) will include Wayne Francis of Realty Executives The Professionals, Sandy Holdren of Realty Executives of Jacksonville, Rob Kearney of Kearney Real Estate Services and Billie Motz of Century 21 A1A Realty.

Returning directors include Charlene Perez Ferren of Watson Realty Corp, Pete Dalton of Vanguard Realty, Sherry Davidson of Davidson Realty, Norm Gregory of CCIN Real Estate Services, Holly McMurry of Prudential Network Realty, Eileen McVeigh of Re/Max Coastal Real Estate, Melissa Peebles of ERA Pacesetters Realty, Kay Seitzinger of Re/Max Coastal Real Estate and J. Michael Taylor of Coldwell Banker Walter Williams and Walter Williams of Coldwell Banker Walter Williams.

Eileen McVeigh of Re/Max Coastal Real Estate will be the new MLS president.

Steve Sprague of Sprague Properties.com, Robert Powell of Powell Properties and Cindy Chapman of Century 21 A1A Realty were elected to three year terms as MLS directors. Hank Oltman was re-nominated for three year MLS director term.
