Locals are best in state

Two of the local industry’s major associations won best-in-state awards at recent state conventions.

The Northeast Florida Association of REALTORS and the Sales and Marketing Council were honored, as well as numerous others as awards were presented by the Florida Association of REALTORS, the Southeast Building Council (Aurora Awards) and the Florida Home Builders Association (Excel Awards.)

NEFAR won the FAR award for the best association among the major cities and the local SMC repeated as the state’s best in the builders awards.

Here’s a rundown of the local winners:

Florida Association of REALTORS

• Board Achievement Award: NEFAR was recognized as the top association in the state, competing in the Mega (more than 2,500 members) category. The Board Achievement Award recognizes a compilation of Association activities, events, MLS products/services, political affairs efforts, education, FAR and NAR support, member achievements and more.

• Overall education program: NEFAR won in the Mega Board category for the eighth time in the past 11 years.

• Humanitarian of the Year: Judy Law of Prudential Network Realty in Ponte Vedra Beach. Law won for her efforts helping to build homes for HabiJax, working with a variety of groups that serve at-risk and mentally and physically challenged children and donating both her time and money to children’s organizations.

• Residential Environment Award: World Golf Village.

Aurora Awards

• Detached Single-Family Home in the $200,001-$300,000 range: Coppenbarger Homes for a the St. Anne model home in the Pablo Bay subdivision.

• Interior Merchandising-Recreational Facility: Sisler-Williams Interior Design/Fletcher Land for the clubhouse at Serenata Beach in South Ponte Vedra Beach.

• Interior Merchandising-Under $300,000: Sisler-Williams Interior for the St. Anne home in Jacksonville Beach.

• Recreational Facility-Special Amenity Facility: Sisler-Williams Interior Design for the Serenata Beach Club in South Ponte Vedra Beach.

Excel Awards

• The local SMC was named best in the state.

• Sisler-Williams Interior Design won with 10 of their clients for marketing and design. Among the projects were the information centers at Hampton Park, new inn rooms at the Ponte Vedra Inn and Club and the clubhouse at the Serenata Beach Club.

• North Hampton was recognized for its logo and signage,” and was named the “Best Master Planned Community.
