The Legends at Saint Johns in World Golf Village is taking shape.

So far, the site agents for The Legends at Saint Johns have been selling the product sight unseen.

They have an office set up near the entrance to WGV which features the kitchen, bath, laundry and dining room facilities of a two bedroom residence, but an actual model is still under construction and should be completed by March.

So far, three buildings and the clubhouse are under construction.

“The clubhouse has a fitness center in one half and a catering kitchen and tables on the other half,” said Karen Palmer, broker/project sales manager with Prudential Network Realty in St. Augustine. “It also has a heated pool and a putting green. Eventually we will have tennis courts and another heated pool.”

This first building next to the clubhouse will house the models within the 18 units located in the building.

There are three styles of buildings which offer 300 one, two and three bedroom units with one to three baths and either attached or detached garages.

“The models should be complete by the end of March or early April and the other buildings will be right behind them,” said Palmer.

They initially released the first three buildings which housed 60 units all together. They have sold 52 of them so far and will now open up the next two buildings for sale.

The units start at $134,900 and for under $200,000 you can still get a three bedroom with a one-car garage attached.

“Our main unit is a two bedroom, two bath with everything standard for $134,900,” said Palmer. “Our average buyer is someone who doesn’t want to have any maintenance. They want to be able to lock up and go. For the older folks, it’s because they want to take off for a month or two and travel. For the younger folks, it’s because they are busy working, and they

don’ t have time to maintain.”
