Duval Delegation hosts public bill hearing

The Duval County Legislative Delegation held a public hearing Monday in City Council Chambers. Topping the agenda was the impact of budget cuts on juvenile crime and classroom sizes, especially for elementary school children. Local bills for consideration included state attorney prosecution of ordinance violations, annexing the town of Baldwin to Jacksonville, changing the name of the Jacksonville Seaport Authority, jurisdiction of the Council auditor and ethics training for elected officials.
