Financial advisors John Solomon and Brian Coyle run Prudential Securities on the Southbank. Solomon established the office, under a different name, in 1974. He has over 40 years in the business as both a manager and a salesperson. Coyle joined Prudential Securities, a subsidiary of Prudential Financial, in 1995 after retiring from the Navy. “We’re in a down time now,” said Coyle. “We have been for the last three years. This is the worst market environment we’ve seen in 60 years. But that doesn’t mean it will continue.” Solomon and Coyle credit their success to the basics, such as buy low, sell high. “We’re not saying anything new,” said Coyle. “People are just listening now. What the market has done is make people cautious. We see opportunities, but they may be reluctant. To any investor, there is no better way for someone to create and build wealth long term than through investing in stocks, good asset-allocated stock funds.”
