National PET (positron emission tomography) Scan, a new medical facility in the LaVilla Professional Office Building, sees patients based on physician referrals to assist the doctor in forming a diagnosis of the patient’s condition. A fairly new technology, the PET scan can detect changes in a body’s cellular functions prior to the occurrence of physical symptoms.
