D.R. Horton has purchased the planned residential community of Heritage Landing at the World Golf Village. S.J. Land Associates, LLC, an affiliate of Hillman Properties of Pittsburgh, sold the 690-acre parcel of land to Horton.

The sale was announced by Vaughan Blaxter, chairman of Hillman Properties, Inc.

Located west of the King & Bear golf course, this community was announced earlier this year. Heritage Landing will feature over 1,100 homesites with new home prices ranging from the $140s to the $300s.

It is located near the intersection of the William Bartram Scenic Highway (SR 13) and SR 16.

“As the number one homebuilder in the nation and our local First Coast market, D.R. Horton will certainly have a positive impact on what we have created at World Golf Village,” said Blaxter. “Heritage Landing will allow World Golf Village to further increase its appeal to all aspects of the housing market. Our overall diversity in residential product-types and price points allows us to truly have something for everyone.”

Builders were selected earlier this year for the preferred builder program at Heritage Landing at World Golf Village.

Davidson Realty, Inc. sold over 232 of the initial 338 homesites in phase one of the community to Classic American Homes, Crawford Homes, Harmony Homes of N.E. Florida, Seawell Custom Homes, Providence Construction Company and Cordele Builders, Inc. In addition to its ownership and development role, D.R. Horton, Inc. also will participate in the builder program.
