Peter Hurd has been the senior sales consultant for Admiral Homes since July 2002.
“I oversee the Intracoastal West area. As we do additional models, I will be responsible for the sales agents in those models. When I came on board, I was hired to do site sales in Ashley Woods and oversee the area and future sales people.”
Ashley Woods
The development is located off Kernan Road. At build out, they will have 550 homes in Ashley Woods. Currently, they have 115 lots left to sell and 60 homes under construction.
More inventory
Admiral Homes has been open for a little over a year. In addition to Ashley Woods, they are also selling 50 lots in the Bentwater community off of Kernan. “Sometime after the first of the year, we will be opening the community, Winfield Lakes on Kernan Boulevard, and we anticipate 500 lots in there. Our intent is to go in there exclusively. The development is being developed by Hutson Land. We may go in there with another builder, but our desire at this point is to purchase the whole thing.”
What do you hope to accomplish?
“To get the utmost development out of the Intracoastal West area in several different locations. Right now, we would hope to be the No. 1 builder in this area.”
target market?
The price of the homes range from $150,000 to $250,000. Hurd said the demographics of the buyers for Admiral Homes is very diverse. “We have a pretty good mix of people. We have a good number of first time home buyers as well as a lot of second home buyers who are trading up from a smaller home to a bigger home. Mainly because the market is such a good resale market right now and the low interest rates.”
