Mayor John Peyton attended a biological terrorism exercise Tuesday to see the City’s new Protect Hometown America software. The system recognizes patterns of terrorist activity in events that would escape notice of individual responders or dispatchers. Jacksonville is the first municipal testing ground for the system, which is in use at 20 military bases across the country.
