Mongo’s Flat Hot Grill at the Landing should be open by the end of the month.
“We’re really getting anxious to open,” said Linda Hurd, co-owner of Mongo’s. “We’re getting close.”
Filling the second floor space once occupied by Kabuki restaurant, Hurd and her husband John said Mongo’s will offer something for everyone.
“It’s a real interactive dining experience,” said Linda. “We’ll have stations where our customers will be able to select items that best suit their tastes. We’ll also make suggestions along with way.”
Once the right items have been selected, they are moved to the grill and prepared.
“It only takes a few minutes and it’s actually pretty interesting to watch,” said John.
Mongo’s, which will seat about 200, will be open for lunch and dinner and also feature a full bar.
