Prime Home Mortgage has now outlived the first mortgage it funded more than 30 years ago. And like a mature homeowner, the company is “adding a room” with a new office in Georgia.

Founded in 1973 as part of the original ITT Corp. development of Palm Coast, the company is now a Northeast Florida lender.

“With low rates and increased home building, I’ve seen a lot of new mortgage companies spring up,” says Prime Home President Chriss Spires. “But our borrowers know we’ve been here through good times and bad, and most importantly, we’ve shown we’re here to stay.”

Prime Home was a factor in the steady development of Palm Coast, and, either with offices or through the Internet, the company serves customers in more than 200 markets in Florida, Texas, Ohio, Tennessee-and now Georgia. Located in Macon, the new office will specialize in wholesale lending to community banks and credit unions, Spires says.

Prime Home Mortgage offers the complete range of mortgage services including construction financing, lot loans, investment property and second home programs. A proven corporate citizen, the company supports or is involved with the Children’s Home Society, Special Olympics, Habitat for Humanity, SAFE House, Clara White Mission, and the Navy League.
