The Florida Real Estate Commission soon will have a new director.
Jason Steele, a former state legislator who had been the FREC director, has resigned. The commission is being headed by Chief Attorney Juana Watkins on an interim basis.
A spokesperson for the Department of Business and Professional Regulation said that the new director may be named as early as next month.
