to a Coctail Party at Dave & Busters on Salisbury Road October 22, 2004. Get your sports attire out and dust off your dancing shoes. It’s a party for all to attend. Join us and score big with food, fun and prizes including Jaguars tickets and D & B power cards. The big day’s event includes end zone games, trivia and a pool tournament. We will have the use of 2 pool tables during the course of the evening. Come and see how WCR has fun. You do not have to be a WCR member to attend. We would just like you to attend and join us for some fun. Just a note to WCR members, the members who sell the most tickets to the event will receive a weekend on Amelia Island. Tickets are $20 each or $35 pair/couple.

| September District One Meeting
St. Augustine The WCR District I Forum on September 17, 2004 was hosted at the Casa Monica Hotel in historical St. Augustine, FL. Southern Title was the gold sponsor for both the State Chapter and the District I Forum. They were represented by Lisa Blythe and Rebecca DeLorenzo. Our thanks to them for their continued support of our organization on multiple levels.
This year there were four local chapters represented by: Polly McKay from the Gainesville Chapter, Jeanne Denton-Scheck from the Jacksonville Chapter, Honora Guimenta from the Palm Coast Chapter and Sue Chitwood from the St. Augustine Chapter, filling in for Inez Tankesley who has recently moved to Mississippi. Seventy five members registered and attended the event that featured three outstanding speakers:
Brad Neff the Vice-President of Marketing & Business Services for the Florida Association of Realtors. Prior to joining FAR, Brad worked for Bell Laboratories in software development and product management.Brad directs the promotion and support efforts for The Technology Helpline, Online Forms, IDX, Planet Realtor and FAR’s other business products and services. His goal is to provide top-notch customer service so that you, in turn, can be more successful. He gave a very informative presentation on the Planet Realtor website and the Forms on Line Gold feature plus gave the audience a peak at what is to come on the site.
Sandy Misenheimer is a Financial Advisor and Advisor Coach with American Express Financial Advisors Inc. She has a Finance and an Accounting degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She specializes in personal financial planning and she says “You work hard for your money. My job is to make it work hard for you.”
She presented the “Smart Women Finish Rich” program and led the group thru a workbook exercise that was well received and elicited many questions from the audience.
Sharon P. Voss, 2004 State WCR President spoke about the new branding and positioning of WCR as the Business Resource Center for our industry. She lauded the program as being in line with the new direction of our organization and an example of the type of programming we will want to see in the future.
We also received support from the following companies: Donna Beard Appraisal Services and Homes & Land Magazine who provided our presentation programs goodie bags along with Ameripro. We thank all those who helped put this program together including Carolyn Minor, Sue Robinson, and each of the individual
chapters for their support.
The Casa Monica was an outstanding venue and Sharon was able to interact with our sponsors and the local Chapter Presidents the evening before while enjoying a fantastic dinner at the Hotel. They surely lived up to their Five Star rating. We hope that those who were not able to join us due to the recent storms will do so next year.
