The VillaRiva condominium project in Riverside reached a milestone Wednesday, topping out during a mid-day reception. The $40 million project broke ground last fall.
“It’s important to recognize the construction team, led by The Auchter Company, as an integral part of the success of this community,” said Bryan Webber, who serves as managing director for Flagship Communities, VillaRiva’s development partner. “We’ve maintained a pretty aggressive construction schedule and these men and women have kept us on track.
Webber said up to 300 people are on site at the VillaRiva six days a week.
“Now is when it starts to get exciting, as we see the exterior colors and architectural elements really start to show,” he said.
On schedule for an early summer opening, Webber and VillaRiva spokesperson Jennifer Marko said a model condominium may be open by November.
“That’s going to be very exciting because interested buyers will
be able to see exactly what VillaRiva has to offer,” said Marko. “Right now it might be hard for someone to have a clear idea because all they may see is a lot of concrete and a construction crew. It’s going to be amazing.”
High rise units at VillaRiva — there are 66 — are currently 60 percent sold and Marko said public interest remains solid.
“Whether by appointment or just driving by the site, people stop in all the time,” she said.”
Shortly after opening, VillaRiva will host the SunTrust Symphony Showhouse.
