Streetlights were removed from Bay Street Friday to make way for new sidewalks. The City is following an “accelerated” construction schedule that should have the street ready by the end of the year, in plenty of time to take its place as downtown’s Super Bowl entertainment district. The lights will be reinstalled when the sidewalk is complete.
