Developer Crosswinds Communities will convert The Preserve at Arbor Lakes’ 284 apartment homes into lakefront condominiums. Having acquired the property in October 2004, the developer is reintroducing The Preserve at Arbor Lakes as Lakecrest Condominium - its first Jacksonville-based project. Headquartered in Novi, Michigan, Crosswinds Communities is an independent, full-service real estate building and development firms specializing in residential, master-planned, commercial and mixed-use projects.
The firm has a presence in a wide variety of major metropolitan areas across the United States, currently within: Arizona, California, North Carolina, Michigan and Virginia, as well as in several active communities in Florida, such as Palencia in St. Johns County.
At Lakecrest Condominium, current residents of these one-, two- and three-bedroom homes can take advantage of the developer’s price points combined with mortgage interest rates. Sales for the condominium community have opened to the general public.
“Current residents had the first option to purchase a Lakecrest home. With prices starting from the low $100s, buyers are jumping at the chance to affordably pamper themselves with a well-deserved, carefree lifestyle,” said Dorothy Merrick, associate sales director for Coldwell Banker The Condo Store. “Along with its convenient location and a variety of resort-style amenities, Lakecrest’s quality home styles and new finishes ensure buyers an unbeatable value.”
The Lakecrest Condominium features distinct exteriors and comfortably spacious home interiors. Crosswinds Communities offers four ample floor plans ranging from 914 to 1,376 square feet, each with creative design elements and plenty of flexible space.
Interior amenities include 11-foot ceilings in select homes; decorative glass block accent windows; open gourmet kitchens featuring custom-quality flooring, countertops and cabinetry; GE appliance package; dining area; and living rooms with cozy fireplace.
The owner’s suite includes a master bath with dual-sink vanity (two- and three-bedroom floorplans only), ample closet and storage space. Additional home features can include full-size washer and dryer connections and direct access.
All styles feature a large private patio or balcony offering picturesque nature, lake or pool views.
“Lakecrest Condominium is an open, yet very intimate, lakeside community consisting of 28 residential buildings,” said Bernard Ackerman, director for Crosswinds Communities’ Acquisition Division. “The unique physical arrangement of the homes is not only aesthetically pleasing, it also provides residents an unparalleled sense of independent housing compared to the physical layout of many condominium communities. The quality of life residents enjoy is directly affected by the level of privacy provided them.”
