Playboy’s Super Saturday Night has long been sold out and, if past parties are any indication, the lucky 1,500 who will be attending this year are in for a wild night.

Happening Friday, Feb. 5 at the River City Brewing Company, Playboy representatives said that, while their won’t be any nudity at the Miller beer sponsored-party, everything else will be fair game around the southern end of the Acosta Bridge.

“No naked girls,” said Playboy spokesperson Vanessa Poskanzer, “but let’s just say that they will be scantily clad and there will be plenty to look at.”

Likening the sixth-annual event to a “giant festival,” Poskanzer said Playboy publisher Hugh Hefner will serve as host and that other A-list celebrities including actors, musicians and athletes will help round out the VIP mix.

River City’s in-house caterer Elizabeth Van Nuys is planning the menu.

“We’ve been planning this party for almost a year,” Poskanzer said. “We actually started scouting for locations roughly two weeks after the Super Bowl in Houston because we realize the Super Bowl is a major event and it’s something we want to be involved in.”

Despite their hefty $1,200 price, Poskanzer said tickets to the party remain among the most difficult to secure every year. Not that many go to the general public as Playboy uses the event to host advertisers. Plus, the celebs and media get freebees.

“Even with all of the other events happening during the Super Bowl, we’ve always been able to make the party unique and stand out in its own way,” she said. “We don’t usually have very much trouble finding people who want to attend.”

Party entertainment has yet to be finalized, however, a “celebrity d.j.” is expected to be booked before the end of next week. A live act, said Poskanzer, proved too difficult to coordinate, plus it wouldn’t fit in the restaurant’s layout with its many rooms.

“Honestly, it really is one of the best parties out there,” she said. “I’ve been to large scale events all over the country and the Super Saturday night is right at the top of the list.”

Don’t expect to slip into the Southbank restaurant duiring the party, either. The perimeter will be fenced and there even will be officers watching for unwelcome visitors coming by water.
