It’s among the biggest offices in City Hall even though it has a new tenant every 12 months. Located on the fourth floor, it’s the Council president’s office.

If you face City Hall from Hemming Plaza, it’s the corner office on the top floor to the left. The view is great, overlooking the park, the Federal Courthouse and the Seminole Club.

Getting there isn’t easy. Take the elevator to the fourth floor and go around to the right to the door leading to the Council offices.

You’ll then take a corridor to the right past the mail room, hang a left, then turn back to the right. The office is on your left, just past the vice president’s office.

This year, Elaine Brown is calling the Council shots and decorating the walls. With just a quick glance, you’ll notice large paintings, several plaques and various photos around the office.

“In this job, you’re given a lot of interesting and unusual things,” Brown said, “but there are some things I have gotten that really mean a lot to me.”
