Standard Pacific Homes knows a thing or two about winning. The company has been providing winning home designs and securing national accolades for almost four decades. Now, with only a little over a year under its belt as a presence in Northeast Florida, the renowned builder has made its name known in the local market by taking home a staggering seven prestigious Laurel Awards at this year’s ceremony. The ceremony marked the receipt of the most Laurels the company or its predecessor Coppenbarger Homes has received to date.
Standard Pacific, one of the nation’s largest homebuilders, has built homes for more than 70,000 families during its 39-year history. The company operates in some of the strongest housing markets in the country, with operations in major metropolitan areas in California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Florida and the Carolinas.
At the Laurel Awards banquet, Standard Pacific was recognized for excellence in the categories of Architectural Design, Interior Merchandising, Million Dollar Achievers and Best Selection Center.
“At the Laurels, we are able to visualize the wonderful accomplishments of the builders and designers in our community. This year we are proud to have been recognized along with the best in our field,” said Ron Coppenbarger, Division President of Standard Pacific Homes. Standard Pacific bought Coppenbarger Homes in late 2003.
Standard Pacific’s Sapphire model at OakLeaf Plantation won two Laurels for Best Architectural Design and Best Interior Merchandising. This 2,317 square-foot home is a visually stunning masterpiece with four bedrooms, two-and-a-half bathrooms and a versatile loft. Laurel judges loved the grand family elegance of this community showhome.
The judges also recognized Standard Pacific’s Stone Creek model at Eagle Harbor for Best Architectural Design and Best Interior Merchandising. The 1,732 square-foot, three-bedroom, two-bath home was decorated with a French Country-themed design that’s been catching the attention of both buyers and judges. Renowned interior merchandiser Rita Williams partnered with Standard Pacific to complete interior merchandising for both award-winning homes.
In addition to receiving recognition for architectural and interior merchandising, Standard Pacific also won three Laurels recognizing company professionals and facilities. Site agents Ray Kelso and Betty Carter both received Million Dollar Circle Awards for their outstanding sales production efforts. A seventh Laurel was awarded to Standard Pacific for Best Selection Center. The exquisite and innovative Standard Pacific Design Center allows homebuyers to not only visualize, but also feel the design components of their new homes. The Center features three kitchens, a bath, fireplace, consultation areas and samples for full color design selection for the interior and exterior of each new home.
Since 1994, the Sales and Marketing Council (SMC) of the northeast Florida Builders Association has hosted the Laurel Awards, which represent an ongoing effort to recognize sales, building, development and design excellence within the real estate industry. This year the SMC received 387 competition entries in five main categories: Marketing, Design, Achievement, Production and Grand Awards. Six non-local judges had the difficult task of narrowing the submissions down to 79 winning entries.
