Legacy Builders of North Florida has joined the preferred builder program in The Estates of World Golf Village.

Builder John Unkefer has purchased a number of homesites in the Waterbury, Clubview Estates, Windmill Estates and Heritage Cove neighborhoods at the King & Bear, with most sites located on the golf course.

Legacy Builders will build custom homes priced from the $600s to over $1 million. Rather than offering typical floor plans, Unkefer has relationships with several local architects for home designs.

“Everything is custom. We’ll either start with floor plans provided by some of our architects or we’ll start with a paper napkin,” said Unkefer. “We take great care to ensure that the personality of each buyer is reflected in the details of their home.”

Headquartered in Mandarin, Legacy Builders was established in 1997. Company president Unkefer has a bachelor’s degree in building construction from the University of North Florida and is a certified general contractor.

“Legacy Builders has an excellent reputation for superior quality and personal attention to detail and to their customers. We are really pleased to welcome them to The Neighborhoods of World Golf Village and look forward to seeing the first of their beautiful custom homes in these wonderful King & Bear neighborhoods,” said Sherry Davidson, president of Davidson Realty, Inc., marketers of the community.

The Waterbury by the Links neighborhood within The Estates of World Golf Village wanders through seven of the first nine holes of the King & Bear golf course. The homesites start in the high $200s.

Clubview Estates has 10 homesites on the first hole - each just steps from the Swim & Tennis Center and a short walk to the clubhouse. Homesites start in the high $200s.

Tucked just beyond the community’s restored windmill landmark, Windmill Estates offers homesites priced from the $200s, which are bordered by the nature preserve and holes 10- 12 of the King & Bear golf course.

Heritage Cove is a secluded collection of 19 homesites priced from the low to mid-$300s.
