The U.S. Small Business Administration’s North Florida District Office will recognize 10 SBA lenders from across North Florida on Thursday at the 13th annual Small Business Week Celebration and Lender Awards luncheon at the University of North Florida’s University Center.
The event is sponsored by the UNF Small Business Development Center and will also recognize the 2005 Small Business Week Winners from the North Florida area.
Dick Erickson, owner of Sun Tire in Jacksonville, will be the keynote speaker.
Lender winners to be honored are the Bank of America in the Over 200 Loans category; Capital One, 100-200 Loans; Innovative Bank, 100-200 Loans; CIT Small Business, 50-100 Loans; Banco Popular, 50-100 Loans; First Coast Community Bank, 25-50 Loans; BankFirst, 25-50 Loans; and Wachovia, 25-50 Loans.
Florida First Capital Finance will be recognized for the highest number of loans among certified development companies.

Leading developers at forum
The Northeast Florida Association of Realtors will host a Developers Forum on Friday, May 20, at the Jacksonville Marriott.
The forum will include a panel of homebuilding and development
industry leaders who will share their insights into new projects and
developments planned for northeast Florida.
The luncheon and program begin at 11:30 a.m. and should conclude around 1 p.m. The event price is $20 and includes lunch. Pre-paid
reservations are required by noon on May 16.
Panel members are Ed Burr, CEO of LandMar Group LLC; Mori
Hosseini, chairman and CEO of ICI Homes; Jim Lieferman, Florida area president of Pulte Homes Corp.; Jeff Roberts, president and COO of Altman
Development Corp.; and Howard White, president of North Florida Builders/Woodside Homes.
Maxine McBride, president of Clockwork Marketing Services, is the
panel moderator.
Panelists will discuss general development, growth issues, the active adult market and upcoming projects from Nassau to Volusia counties, including the Shipyards in downtown Jacksonville and The Yacht Club
at Harbortown.
