Mattamy Homes is launching one of its first high-end home communities in St. Johns County.
Called Kensington, the new community is being developed by The Alterra Group of Jacksonville in northern St. Johns County. Mattamy Homes will build 100 homes in the community on 80 and 90-foot homesites.
“Kensington will be a fantastic place to showcase the distinctive, well-built homes Mattamy is known for,” said Vice President of Sales and Marketing Tami MacKinnon. “Because of its location in St. Johns County and the extraordinary homes that we build, Kensington will be a tremendous success.”
Mattamy will build two model homes with construction on the company’s Taylor design beginning in April.
The Taylor home, with its 12-foot ceilings, has four bedrooms and four bathrooms and includes a covered porch and study. The owner’s suite has large walk-in closets and an expansive bathroom.
Mattamy homes at Kensington will range in size from 2,500 to more than 5,500 square feet and prices will be from the high $300,000s to over $600,000, according to company officials.
The homes have tile and Corian countertops in the kitchen and bathrooms as well as Kohler sinks. The owner’s suite includes a walk-in closet, a bathroom with walk-in showers and illuminated light switches. The homes also include an intercom systems, tamper resistant outlets, motion sensor lights and LED night lights in all secondary bathrooms.
Mattamy Homes’ designs in Kensington are the homebuilder’s highest end product in Northeast Florida.
“The quality, richness and comfort of these homes in Kensington are second to none,” MacKinnon said. “Mattamy Homes are built with homebuyers’ high standards of living in mind.”
Mattamy Homes is now building in Bartram Springs, Hickory Village, Johns Creek, Cannons Point and Nature’s Hammock at OakLeaf Plantation, Walden Chase and coming soon to Kensington and Covenant Cove.
