American Home Mortgage is a residential Real Estate Investment Trust making it somewhat different from most other lending institutions. American Home is currently the tenth largest lender of residential mortgages in the United States.

In 2004 and 2005, American Home Mortgage entered into the Florida market. Prior to this entrance, there were three offices in two metropolitan areas. There are now 71 offices. There are offices is Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Gainesville and Panama City. The plan is to open offices in Daytona, Tallahassee and Pensacola during the first and second quarter of 2006.

American Home Mortgage was formed in 1987 with the merger of three regional companies.

How many lending agents does your company have?

More than 350 loan originators.

Absolutely. Now, it’s more a matter of who has the best products and best service.

One of the truly different aspects of American Home Mortgage is our availability to share and work with Home Buyers Marketing. American Home has 1,709 individual mortgage programs to fit any need. My staff has, combined, over 70 years of experience and a ratio of only 4-to-1 origination to servicing employees. My offices have grown from zero to 16 loan originators and from no production to averaging 12 million per month.
