Ryland Homes in Jacksonville reported it will end its second year with record sales of 550 new homes. Jeff Agar, president of Ryland Homes in the Jacksonville region, said Ryland is currently building new homes in 12 neighborhoods in Duval, Clay and St. Johns counties. The average sale price of a Ryland-built home in 2005 was $250,000. Agar said Ryland sold 301 new homes during its first full year of operations.
Proof of success can be seen at Sevilla in St. Johns County, where Ryland sold 36 new homes before the model homes had opened. The builder has acquired 139 more home sites there.
Agar said, Ryland acquired the 139 home sites at Sevilla earlier this year and began building four model homes.
